History
Founded in 1893 by Henri Denies, DENIES embarked on its journey as a trading company specializing in oils and fats. From its modest beginnings, the company gradually carved a niche for itself in the global market, leveraging its expertise and commitment to excellence as F. Denies and Sons.
In 1960, DENIES took a significant leap forward by initiating exports to the Congo, thus laying the foundation for its expansion into the African continent as DENIES Comptoir Chimique.
Throughout the 1960s and beyond, DENIES steadily broadened its horizons, extending its reach to encompass North, West, and Central Africa. This strategic expansion not only reinforced DENIES’ presence in the region but also underscored its resilience and adaptability in the face of evolving market dynamics.
In the 1970s, DENIES further diversified its product portfolio, venturing into the delivery of caustic soda lye and later hydrochloric acid in the Belgian market. This diversification marked a pivotal moment in the company’s history, demonstrating its capacity to meet the evolving needs of customers across different industries.
Since then, DENIES has primarily focused on serving as a leading supplier of chemicals, specializing in exports to Africa. With an unwavering commitment to quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction, DENIES continues to play a vital role in facilitating trade and fostering economic growth across the African continent.
